MCRD football sign-ups ongoing

The Morgan City Recreation Department is accepting registration for tackle, flag football and cheerleading leagues.
Tackle is offered for any youth who is 10 years of age and must weigh at least 70 pounds with no maximum weight limit. Any youth 11 or 12 years of age must weigh at least 70 pounds and cannot exceed 120 pounds. The registration fee is $50 for the first child and $40 for the second child with no family paying more than $130.
After Sept. 4, the registration fee will be $60 per applicant.
Flag football will be offered for boys and girls ages 7-12 by Sept. 1 of the current year. There is no weight limit. The player fee is $45 for the first child and $35 for the second child with no family paying more than $110.
The cheerleading league is offered for girls ages 7-12 by Sept. 1 of the current year. The registration fee is $45 for the first child and $35 for the second child with no family paying more than $110.
All participants must show a birth certificate upon registration.
