Patterson All-Stars tie in final pool game

The Patterson Babe Ruth Softball 10U All-Stars finished 2-0-1 in pool play at the Babe Ruth Southwest Tournament in Harrison, Arkansas, Tuesday and Wednesday.
After opening the tournament with two shutouts on Tuesday, the squad played the Harrison (Arkansas) Diamond Divas to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday.
Patterson began double-elimination bracket play this morning against the Harrison (Arkansas) Sweet Heat.
In pool play, Patterson, Louisiana’s state champs, opened action Tuesday with a 12-0 victory against Cotter, Arkansas, and a 4-0 victory against the Harrison Sweet Heat.
In the victory against Cotter, Patterson scored nine runs in the first inning and three in the second.
Kamille Lightfoot led Patterson with a double, a triple and scored a run. Other top offensive contributors included Amaya Williams, two doubles and two runs; Charlotte Calais, a double and two runs; Rylie Chasson, a double and a run; Bryleigh DeHart, a single and two runs; Emily Lipari and Laila Dugar, each a single and a run; Hannah Domingue and Makayla Theriot, each a single; and Madison Gray, a run.
Against the Sweet Heat, Patterson scored three runs in the first inning and one in the third.
Calais led Patterson with a triple and a run. Other top offensive contributors included Lipari, a double and a run; Williams, Lightfoot and Chasson, each a single; and DeHart, a run.
Against the Diamond Divas, Harrison scored a run in the first, while Patterson responded with a run in the second. Neither team scored in the remaining two innings of play.
Dugar scored the team’s lone run after drawing a walk. The next batter, Chasson, connected on Patterson’s lone hit, a double.
