St. Edmund pounds Eagles 8-1 in Class 1A semifinals

No. 7 St. Edmund pounded the baseball en route to an easy 8-1 victory against No. 6 Central Catholic in Class 1A semifinal action at McMurry Park Friday.

Central Catholic High School will make its fourth Class 1A semifinal appearance in as many years when the Eagles step on the field Friday to face St. Edmund in a 5 p.m.

Regional Run-Rule

The Central Catholic Eagles capitalized on St. Edmund miscues as they rolled past the home standing Blue Jays en route to the Class 1A quarterfinals with a 12-2 win in six innings Tuesday.
