MORGAN CITY, La. -- New additions to June’s Most Wanted edition include a Patterson man wanted on warrants for home invasion, simple battery and theft, and a Morgan City man wanted on two theft warrants and for contempt of court.

Mark Hilliard, 30, of First Street in Patterson, is wanted for home invasion, simple battery, criminal damage to property, simple battery-domestic and theft. Hilliard is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 213 pounds, according to Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle.

The warrants stem from a May 3 incident, when a woman called and reported that Hilliard had beaten the caller’s sister at a Williams Street address. Hilliard chased and attacked the caller and her cousin, LaSalle said.

Hilliard tried to take the phone out of the caller’s hand when she called police, LaSalle said.

Hilliard then fled when he realized the police were on the way. The caller’s sister stated that Hilliard forced his way through the locked front door of her home and pulled her out of the shower by her head, LaSalle said.

The caller’s sister said Hilliard also smashed her cable box and took her house keys and car keys, LaSalle said.
