Parish Council meets Wednesday

The St. Mary Parish Council will meet in regular session Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Items on the agenda include:
—Presentation of the 2014 fiscal year audit by accountant Guy Pitts.
—Recognition of the Franklin Senior High School State Championship Relay Team.
—Introduction of an ordinance by Councilman David Hanagriff amending the permitted, limited, specific and prohibited uses table in the zoning ordinance.
—Consideration of a proposed ordinance rezoning property at 103 Minnow Lane, Cypremort, owned by Robert Richard and Chanse Boudreaux, from a light industrial zone to existing neighborhood to allow for a mobile home. A public hearing on this item will be called at 5:45 p.m.
—Resolutions on change orders and certificates of substantial completion on the Point Chevreuil shoreline protection project and the Middle Road culvert project.
—Resolutions on the HUD Section 8 Choice Housing Voucher Program’s annual and five-year plan; and on an agreement with Thomassie Construction to build the new animal control facility.
—A request by Councilman Charles Middleton to transfer $2.500 from the Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 10 three-tenths percent sales tax fund to the St. Joseph community summer youth program.
The meeting is held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin, 500 Main St., and is open to the public.
