Berwick’s baseball team is looking to get that old Panthers’ swagger back in Thursday’s first-round playoff game at Jena.
Berwick and Central Catholic have mixed reviews in the opening rounds of the state tournament in Monroe. The tournament was delayed three hours April 27 because of inclement weather.
Patterson blanked Berwick, 4-0, at home Friday in a continuation game from April 16.
The District 9-3A Relays were held Thursday at Berwick High School.
E.D. White High School swept the team wins in boys and girls varsity.
Central Catholic continued its winning ways beating Ascension Catholic, 4-1, in District 7-1A play Wednesday in Amelia.
