Arrest reports

Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Matthew Batiste, 55, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Saturday for distribution of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired license plate, a warrant for stop sign violation, a warrant for no insurance, possession of marijuana second offense and possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance-cocaine third offense.
—Keshay L. Julian, 20, of Arizona Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Saturday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance-marijuana.
An officer detained Batiste, the driver of a vehicle near the 600 Block of Sixth Street. Officers uncovered suspected marijuana, paraphernalia and suspected cocaine. The passenger inside the vehicle, identified as Julian, was also arrested after it was learned that she received suspected marijuana which was located from Batiste. Both were jailed.
—Scott A. Faulk, 44, of Duson, was arrested at 4:19 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, careless operation, and a warrant from Calcasieu Parish for unauthorized use of an access card.
Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on Federal Avenue near Everett Street and identified the driver, Faulk, who, according to reports, exhibited signs of impairment. Faulk was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for minor injuries where a blood and a urine test were provided. Faulk was also found to be wanted by Calcasieu Parish authorities on an outstanding warrant. He was jailed. The results of the blood and urine tests are pending, Banks said
—Tonyous W. Collins, 31, of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. Sunday for a warrant from Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for simple battery and a warrant from Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of marijuana second offense.
Collins was arrested after officers detained a vehicle in the area of La. 182 and Grizzaffi Street for traffic violations. Collins, the driver of the vehicle, was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for Lafayette Parish and was arrested. He was jailed.
—Kenneth R. Hamilton, 26, of Amelia, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Saturday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
—Ashley Becerra, 24, of Morgan City, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Saturday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Hamilton and Becerra were arrested at a La. 182 lounge after officers were summoned to the lounge due to Hamilton causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises. As officers arrested Hamilton, Becerra became agitated, according to reports, and began to create a disturbance. She was also placed under arrest. Both were jailed.
—Daniel J. Plaisance, 51, of Pierre Part, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. today for disturbing the peace.
Plaisance was arrested at a La. 182 lounge after officers were flagged down regarding a disturbance in the parking lot. Plaisance, who was identified as the person causing the disturbance, was jailed.
—Janice C. Motte, 56, of Oak Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. Sunday for possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substance-hydrocodone.
Officers were dispatched to a La. 182 parking lot regarding a suspicious vehicle and occupants. Officers located the people in question, and found Motte to be in possession of hydrocodone. She was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 112 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Jose L. Romo-Luna, 34, of the 600 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:11 a.m. Saturday for hit and run driving, no driver’s license, and careless operation of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of a damaged mailbox on Teche Road in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from the complainant that at least three mailboxes had been damaged and that debris from a vehicle was also found nearby, Hebert said. The deputy located Romo-Luna’s vehicle which also had been damaged. Romo-Luna was jailed with bail set at $1,750.
—Cody W. White, 20, of the 100 block of Rose Park Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Rose Park Lane made contact with White. White was jailed with bail set at $1,000.
—Leon Lipari, 56, of the 100 block of Cremo Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy located Lipari at his residence on the warrant. Lipari was jailed with bail set at $500.
—A juvenile male, 16, was arrested at 9:33 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Parish Alternative School for assault on a school teacher. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Ervin Thomas Jr., 27, of the 2600 block of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10 a.m. Saturday on warrants for two counts issuing worthless checks. Thomas was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22.
—Angel Morales, 26, of the 300 block of Aristile Road in Amelia, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area made contact with Morales. Morales was jailed with bail set at $5,000.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Alejandro Gutierrez, 25, of Russo Street in Berwick, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for video voyeurism. Gutierrez was jailed with no bail set.
—Dustin Fitch, 35, of Parro Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for sexual battery. Fitch was jailed with no bail set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Wybra Jackson, 39, of the 300 block of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. Saturday for simple battery and released on $319 bail.
