Basile man charged in 2011 aggravated incest of girl, 11
A 52-year-old Basile man was charged with aggravated incest Monday after being accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl in Ricohoc on multiple occasions in 2011, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
Jerry Tucker, 52, of the 1600 block of Hudson Avenue in Basile, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Monday on a warrant for aggravated incest. A deputy transported Tucker from the Basile Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant.
In August, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation into a complaint of aggravated incest that occurred in 2011, the sheriff said. During the investigation, the detective assigned to the case learned that Tucker inappropriately touched a female victim on multiple occasions at a residence in Ricohoc, Hebert said. The victim was 11 years old at the time the molestations occurred, Hebert said. No bail is set.
Hebert reported responding to 38 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests relating to east St. Mary Parish:

A deputy transported Vincent from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant.
The warrant stems from an April 2013 investigation of a complaint of gun shots heard in the James Street area of Siracusa, Hebert said.
While responding to the complaint, the deputy received information from Morgan City police regarding a person possibly involved in the incident, Hebert said. The deputy made contact with Vincent and learned that he and another person left the Siracusa area at a high rate of speed while firing a weapon from the vehicle, the sheriff said. Morgan City police located a handgun in the vehicle in which Vincent was traveling, Hebert said. No bail is set.

Detectives made contact with Elliott and received consent to search the room. Detectives located a bag of marijuana, a digital scale, a handgun, and $458 in cash.
Detectives reviewed Elliott’s criminal history and learned that he had a prior drug conviction for possession of Xanax and was also convicted of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Elliott was jailed with no bail set.
