Inmate faces additional charge over drug lab

A 41-year-old incarcerated man was hit with an additional charge Thursday after detectives discovered he produced illegal drugs in eight one-pot methamphetamine labs off La. 182, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Lee Boudreaux, 41, of Amelia, was additionally charged at 3:58 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for operation of a clandestine laboratory. Boudreaux was already jailed at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Narcotics detectives received information that methamphetamine was being produced in a wooded area off La. 182 in Amelia. Detectives searched the location and found eight one-pot methamphetamine labs as well as other items used to make the illegal drug.
Detectives contacted a crime and death scene cleaning company, Xtreme Cleaners, which properly disposed of the labs. Continuing the investigation, the detective learned that Boudreaux used the location to cook methamphetamine. No bail is set.
Hebert reported responding to 38 complaints and reported the following arrests:
—Dennis Manuel Gonzales, 27, of 1100 block of Village Lane in Amelia, at 11:25 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy located Gonzales on Lake Palourde Road on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
—Frank Keller Jr., 28, of the 100 block of Two Sisters Court in Bayou Vista, at 12:34 p.m. Thursday on three warrants for failure to appear for drug court status conferences and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.
Deputies made contact with Keller at the district attorney’s office in Morgan City. Keller was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $300,000.
—James Clements, 26, of the 200 block of Southwest Road in Bayou Vista, at 9:36 p.m. Thursday for criminal trespass and attempted burglary of a vehicle.
—Austin C. Stanford, 19, of the 200 block Southwest Road in Bayou Vista, at 9:36 p.m. Thursday for criminal trespass and attempted burglary of a vehicle.
A deputy responded to a report of trespassing at a residence on Field Road in Bayou Vista. While speaking with the complainant, the deputy learned that two male subjects were seen entering onto the property and pulling on vehicle doors.
The deputy searched the area and located two male subjects, Clements and Stanford, at a nearby business who matched the description of the suspects. Through further investigation, the deputy positively identified Clements and Stanford as the subjects who were attempting to enter into several vehicles in the area. The deputy transported both suspects to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
—Uston Rock-Sainos, 28, of the 100 block of Myrtle Street in Bayou Vista, at 5:36 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Paul Billiot, 51, of the 100 block of Myrtle Street in Bayou Vista, 5:36 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Joshua Richard, 30, of the 200 block of Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista, at 5:36 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana.
Narcotics detectives developed credible information that illegal drug activity was taking place at the residence of Rock-Sainos and Billiot. Detectives, accompanied by the Morgan City Police Narcotics Division, conducted a search warrant at the location and found multiple bags of marijuana prepackaged for sale along with plastic baggies and a digital scale all belonging to Rock-Sainos. While searching Richard, detectives located a bag of marijuana. A small amount of marijuana along with a pipe and grinder were also located in Billiot’s bedroom. Detectives released Billiot and Richard on summons to appear in court on March 7. Rock-Sainos was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Karrie Hubler, 27, of Third Street in Berwick, at 4:25 p.m. Thursday on the charge of possession of Xanax. Hubler remains jailed. No bail is set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Marcus Walker, 36, of Duke Street in Morgan City, at 5:37 p.m. Thursday on the charges of aggravated battery, disturbing the peace by fighting, and simple assault
—Irving Dewey, 49, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, at 5:34 p.m. Thursday on the charges of disturbing the peace by fighting, aggravated battery, and a warrant for simple battery with St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Officers were called to the Fifth Street area due to a fight. Officer arrived and located the subjects in the fight, identified as Walker and Dewey. Officers learned that both Walker and Dewey started to fight after Walker approached Dewey and threw a beer can at him, which hit him in the head. According to Walker, Dewey used a weapon to hit him in the head also. Dewey and Walker were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department it was learned that Dewey had an outstanding warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office.
—Terrance Clay, 35, of Bayou Black Drive in Gibson, at 9:21 p.m. Thursday on the charges of possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance – marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substance, violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance law, transactions involving proceeds from controlled dangerous substance, and no turn signal.
A patrol officer in the area of Sixth Street and Brashear Avenue observed a vehicle make a turn without using a turn signal. The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, identified as Clay. While speaking with Clay, he kept putting his hands in his pocket. The officer searched Clay for weapons at which time he admitted he had a gun in the car. While securing the weapon for safety, the officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana in the car. The officer questioned Clay about the smell at which time he admitted there was marijuana his car. Clay was placed under arrested and the officer searched the rest of the vehicle. The officer located more suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. Clay was in the area of the Morgan City Junior High when the stop occurred.
—Christopher Jenkins, 34, of Seventh Street Morgan City, at 12:08 a.m. today on the charge of resisting an officer.
Officers were called to residence for a disturbance. Officer arrived and spoke with the subjects involved during which time one of the subjects, Jenkins, kept approaching the other subject and yelling at him. Officer told Jenkins to step away from the other subject but he refused to do so. Officer attempted to move him, however Jenkins began to struggle with officer. Jenkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked.
