Morgan City man booked for FTA on assault charge

A 25-year-old Morgan City man was transferred to the Morgan City jail for failing to appear in court on assault and disturbing the peace charges, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Dean Darby, 25, of Second Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:49 a.m. Wednesday on City Court warrants for failure to appear on the charge of simple assault and failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace.
Darby was arrested by the Franklin Police Department for warrants from the City Court of Morgan City. Darby was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department jail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
