Police Reports 10-30-15
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
David Ackman, 35, of 714 Julia St., Amelia, was arrested Thursday at 6:42 a.m. on charges of illegal use of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of a drug free zone and possession of meth. No bond was set.
Taylor Darden, 21, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 1:39 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of DWI. No bond was set.
Two Patterson juvenile males, 11 and 13 years old, were arrested Thursday at approximately 3:30 p.m. on charges of simple criminal damage to property allegedly by throwing rocks at a residence and breaking a window. Both were released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Roger Grow, 47, of 1530 US 90, Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 1:09 p.m. on a warrant charging him with criminal neglect of family and held on $24,757 bond.
William Frederick, 43, of 327 David Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 1:43 p.m. on a warrant charging him with forcible rape. Frederick allegedly had non-consensual sexual intercourse with a juvenile female over the course of several years. The reported victim was age 12 when the abuse began. According to the detective’s investigation, the most recent reported incident of sexual abuse occurred in November 2014. No bond was set and more charges are pending, sheriff’s officials report.
Jesse J. Landry, 25, 146 Big Bear Lane, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 4:42 p.m. on a charge of attempted vehicle burglary and released on $10,000 bond. A deputy began an investigation into a complaint of an alleged vehicle burglary that occurred the day before at a residence in the Franklin area. The deputy reportedly learned that a resident had confronted a subject in a vehicle after noticing that the inside light of a vehicle had come on. With the assistance of the complainant, the deputy reportedly positively identified Landry as the subject who was seen in the vehicle.
Jimmy McGraw, 36, of 1026 Red Cypress Drive, Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 8:01 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal neglect of family and held on $22,615 bond.
Crystal Comeaux, 37, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 9:16 p.m. on a Chitimacha Police warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and held with no bond set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Darrel Grubbs Jr., 31, of New Iberia, Thursday at 10:29 a.m. by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s office on a Franklin warrant charging him with violation of a protective order. No bond was set.
Brett Gaspard, 25, of Baker Road, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 7:27 p.m. on a charge of driving under suspension and held with no bond set.
