Police Reports 12-16-16

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Jarrod Bowers, 31, of Park Avenue, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:53 a.m. and charged on a warrant from Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on charges of speeding and no motorcycle endorsement. Bowers was also arrested on a warrant from 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and expired motor vehicle inspection. Bowers was processed and released on a $1,715 bond.
Alita Brooks, 36, of Sixth Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday and charged on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace by loud and obscene language. Brooks was processed and released on a $500 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Morris Madison, 46, of 403 Clark St., Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:07 a.m. and charged with driving the wrong way on a one way road, no driver’s license and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespassing and resisting an officer. No bail was set.
James B. Bourque, 24, of 110 Martin Luther King Blvd., Baldwin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:25 a.m. and charged with stop sign violation and driving with a suspended license. Bourque was released on a summons to appear in court.
Vertress Loston, 37, of 107 Talbot St., Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 2:14 p.m. on a failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, possession of Schedule I drugs, reckless operation of a vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and other offenses, warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of hydrocodone, possession of heroin, no seat belt and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license. No bail was set.
Juvenile male, 16, of Jeanerette, was arrested Tuesday at 5:27 p.m. and charged with aggravated battery. After the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Dallas Brown, 22, of Charenton, was arrested Tuesday at 5:11 p.m. and charged on a warrant for second degree battery. No bail was set.
Katrina Darden, 46, of Charenton, was arrested Wednesday at 2:18 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated-second offense and reckless operation of a vehicle with a crash. No bail was set.
Kevin Koczen, 25, of 147 Moon Rd., Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 2:43 a.m. and charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle, improper lane usage and driving left of center. Following the traffic stop investigation, Koczen was released on a summons to appear in court.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Jennifer Beecher, 31, of Amelia, was arrested Wednesday at 6:07 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I (ecstasy), violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, possession of schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) and possession of schedule IV (Ambien) and possession of Schedule III (Subutex). No bail was set.
Hakeemia Bias, 21, of Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 6:27 p.m. and charged on charges of resisting an officer, possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute, possession schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone). No bail was set.
