Police Reports 12-29-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Leon Benedietto, 34, of 203 Tamporella Lane, Franklin, was arrested Dec. 23, at 12:42 p.m. and charged with illegal carrying of weapons. No bail was set.
John May Jr., 26, of 102 Janet Lane, Amelia, was arrested on Dec. 23, at 12:09 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts and failure to honor written promise to appear. No bail was set.
Terrence Matthews, 46, of Gibson, was arrested Dec. 23, at 1:25 p.m. and charged for a stop sign violation, no insurance and switched license plate. Matthews was released on a summons to appear in court.
David J. Hayes, 29, of 1807 Pine St., Franklin, was arrested Dec. 23 at 11:57 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. No bail was set.
Paul A. Marks, 24, of 338 Sorrell Railroad Rd., Jeanerette, was arrested Dec. 24 at 10:03 a.m. and charged on a warrant for criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace. Marks was later released on a summons to appear in court.
Alan Sylvester, 30, of 717 Verson St., Berwick, was arrested Dec. 24 at 3:20 p.m. and charged with child desertion. Bail was set at $2,500. The child was returned to his mother.
Willie D. Chaney, 48, of 109 Hendricks St., Patterson, was arrested Dec. 24 at 11:57 p.m. and charged on a warrant for simple assault and criminal trespass. Chaney was later released after posting $1,250 bond.
Jarvis Granger, 29, of Siracusa, was arrested Dec. 25 at 12:27 a.m. and charged with disturbing the peace. Granger was released on a summons to appear in court.
Dalaina M. Rentrop, 22, of Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Dec. 25 at 2:11 a.m. and charged with disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. She was released after posting $1,500 bond.
Varice Richardson, 22, of 170 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Dec. 25, at 7:26 a.m. and charged with possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). No bail was set.
Brittany Martin, 32, of 825 Flattown Rd., Charenton, was arrested Dec. 25 at 10:02 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding and failure to honor written promise to appear. Martin was released on $1,845 bond.
Francisco Ramos Garcia, 53, of 1405 Barrow St., Amelia, was arrested Dec. 25 at 10:20 a.m. and charged with disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Garcia was later released on a summons to appear in court.
Travis Darby, 47, of 527 Little Pines Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested Dec. 25, at 8:16 p.m. and charged with domestic abuse battery. He was released after posting $2,500 bond.
Gersson S. Viniegra, 31, of 201½ La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested Dec. 25 at 11:13 p.m. and charged with driving under suspension and speeding. Viniegra was released on a summons to appear in court.
Peter K. Allain, 64, of 4682 Chitimacha Trail, Jeanerette, was arrested Saturday at 9:04 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Allain was released after posting $1,500 bond.
Chad Toups, 41, of 116 Doris St., Amelia, was arrested Saturday at 9:37 a.m. and charged for burglary of an inhabited dwelling. No bail was set.
Allen J. Jeanise, 58, of Schriever, was arrested Saturday at 6:18 p.m. and charged with remaining where forbidden, vagrancy and disturbing the peace. He was later released on a summons to appear in court.
Davin Myers, 24, of Broussard, was arrested Sunday at 1:26 a.m. and charged with trespassing. Myers was released on a summons to appear in court.
Darrell Wilson, 57, of 1236 Irish Bend Rd., Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 12:03 a.m. and charged with simple battery. He was released on a $500 bond.
Chaz Druilhet, 21, of 103 Ambiance Circle, Lafayette, was arrested Sunday at 3:40 a.m. and charged with aggravated battery. She was released after posting $3,000 bond.
Trovon McDaniel, 29, of 410 Canal Drive, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 3:16 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail is set at $1,714.
Kerry J. Oppenheimer, 46, of 600 Emery Lewis Ave., New Iberia, was arrested Monday at 4:26 a.m. on charges of criminal trespass, driving under suspension, driving left of center and flight from an officer.
Brett Hopes, 36, of 630 Monnot St., Lot 1, Jeanerette, was arrested Monday at 4:26 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, no child restraint and direct contempt.
Oppenheimer and Hopes were released on summonses to appear in court.
Joseph Saldivar, 22, of 915 Florence St., Morgan City, was arrested today at 1:09 a.m. on a stop light violation and was charged with DWI. No bond was set.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Derek Harrell, 28, of 500 Wise St., Patterson, Dec. 24 at 3:18 p.m. and charged with driving left of center, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and illegal possession of stolen things (over $20,000).
Brett Givens, 24, of 500 Wise St., Patterson, was arrested Dec. 24, at 9:21 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs. Both Givens and Harrell were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail was set.
Edward Robertson, 33, of Gibson, was arrested today at 12:25 a.m. on a charge of criminal damage to property after allegedly shattering the windshield of a vehicle during an argument with a female. He was released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported that Spencer Bourda, 24, of Blakesley St., Franklin, was arrested Monday at 10:29 a.m. on a warrant charging him with criminal trespassing and released on $500 bond.
