Sheriff: Bayou Vista man arrested after stabbing; victim sustained minor puncture wound

A Bayou Vista man allegedly stabbed another man in the face with a small, unknown object Wednesday night because the suspect believed the victim owed him money, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Traci Landry said. The victim sustained a small puncture would and refused transport to the hospital, Landry said.
William Davis Jr., 57, of the the 200 block of Mars Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. Wednesday on the charge of aggravated battery.
The victim flagged down a sheriff's deputy at St. Mary Plaza in Bayou Vista saying he had been stabbed in the face, Landry said. Davis allegedly confronted the victim in the 700 block of Saturn Road and struck the victim in the jaw with a small, unknown object, which left a small puncture wound, Landry said.
Davis was jailed with no bail set.
