Sheriff seeks Walmart thieves

St. Mary Parish sheriff’s detectives are attempting to identify a man and woman who took a substantial amount of cash from the Bayou Vista Walmart cash register.
Sheriff Mark Hebert said the suspects, seen on video surveillance, approached a cash register before the man opened it and took “a substantial amount of cash” Tuesday evening. The pair then left the store, he said.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the identity of the pair. Anyone with information regarding the theft should call the Sheriff’s Office at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1930.
