Hanson defeats CCHS Lady Eagles

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles fell to Hanson Memorial, 39-33, in their District 7-1A finale in Franklin Friday.

Eagles pull away from Tigers for win

Central Catholic and Hanson were locked in a tight ball game with more than 5 minutes left in the third quarter after Hanson had erased a 24-6 halftime deficit and now trailed by just eight.

CCHS to host Hanson for homecoming Friday

Central Catholic High School will be looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season a week ago when it hosts longtime rival Hanson Memorial Friday for homecoming.

Kennedy Hebert, right, from Morgan City High School and Allyssa Young from Hanson Memorial are members of the La Starz 2000 softball team that won the USFA World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida, on Saturday. Hebert had eight hits with a .571 average; seven singles, one home run, five RBIs, and eight runs scored. Young had also had eight hits with a .571 average; six singles, two doubles, six RBIs and four runs scored. Neither player struck out during the tournament. The tournament was held July 12-18.
