Area bowling teams in action this week

Area high school bowling teams were in action this week with Morgan City’s girls’ sweeping their contests against Central Catholic and Berwick, respectively, while Central Catholic’s girls split their contests.
On Wednesday, Morgan City’s girls defeated Berwick, 25-2 at Charlie’s Lanes.
Meaghan Amador led Morgan City with a 595 series (167, 253, 175).
Other top games turned in by Morgan City bowlers included Hannah Pipes (193, 193), Rylee Sartwell (165, 160), Laura Nolazco (156, 141), Cayce Keton (142) and Ali Tregle (141).
Berwick was led by Mickenzie Reed and Josie Estay. Reed bowled a 478 series (180, 134, 164), while Estay wasn’t far behind with a 470 series (156, 154, 160).
Other top games turned by the Lady Panthers included TaKeisha Jones (154), and Micah Lambert (132).
On Monday, Morgan City’s girls defeated Central Catholic, 21-6, at Charlie’s Lanes.
Pipes led the Lady Tigers with games of Hannah Pipes 173 and 157.
Other top games turned in by Morgan City included Keton (146, 160), Amador (158), Nolazco (131, 153), Tregle (136) and Alyssa Rich (133).
For Central Catholic, top games were turned in by Emily Price (143) and Ann Mary Dupuis (140).
Central Catholic’s girls won their game Wednesday against E.D. White, 22.5-3.5, at Charlie’s Lanes.
Top games for Central Catholic were turned in by Dupuis (131, 150), Price (131, 139), and Katrina Robertson (136).
Central Catholic’s boys fell to E.D. White, 14-13, on Wednesday at Charlie’s Lanes.
Top games for Central Catholic were turned in by Dave Laubach (210, 162), Kyle Autin (154, 161) and Josh Abney (157).
Also Wednesday, Berwick’s boys defeated Morgan City, 21-6 at Charlie’s Lanes.
Aaron Barrilleaux led Berwick with a 598 series (178, 216, 204), while Blake Bergeron had a 538 series (172, 189, 177).
Other top series for the Panthers included a 531 series by Mark Lemoine (182, 170, 179) and a 518 series by Abram Gilder. Among the games Gilder bowled included a 191 and 181.
Other top games turned in by the Panthers included Quentin Kelly (180, 213), Brandon Lemoine (185, 188) and William Ledford (160).
Morgan City was led by Jayson Hidalgo with a 551 series (181, 169, 201). Other 500-plus series for the Tigers included Jason Myers with a 547 (198, 159, 190), and Hau Vo with a 511 (180, 154, 177).
Other top games turned in by Morgan City included Jonathan Spinella (177, 150), Zachary Stewart (159) and Joey Jeter (156).
On Monday, Morgan City defeated Central Catholic 20-7.
Hidalgo led Morgan City with games of 179, 233, and 179.
Other top games turned in by Morgan City included Myers (184, 173), Jeter (178, 155), Spinella (166, 159) and Stewart (163).
Abney led Central Catholic with a 569 series (161, 238, 170).
Other top games turned in by Central Catholic included Autin (160, 169) and Liam McCloy (150).
