Berwick, MCHS win two games

Berwick High School won two of three games this weekend at Catholic High New Iberia’s tournament with two blowout wins Friday before falling to Catholic High of New Iberia Saturday.
On Friday, Berwick defeated Vermilion Catholic 14-4.
Sydney Aucoin earned the win for the Lady Panthers.
Also Friday, Berwick defeated Highland Baptist 14-3.
Jordan Lipari earned the win in that contest.
On Saturday, Berwick fell to Catholic High 8-6.
Rennen DeLatte suffered the loss.
Berwick (10-11) will return to action today when it travels to face Cecilia in a 4 p.m. contest.
MCHS wins two games at Brusly tournament
Morgan City High School won two of three games at Brusly’s tournament this weekend.
On Friday, Morgan City defeated Franklinton 4-2, while on Saturday, Morgan City fell 8-2 to Parkview Baptist — Class 3A’s third-ranked squad, according to the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association rankings.
The Lady Tigers closed their tournament action with a 9-0 win against Albany.
Morgan City (9-5) will return to action today when it travels to face Plaquemine in a 4 p.m. contest.
