Central Catholic is ranked No. 1 in LBCA Class 1A poll

Central Catholic is ranked No. 1 in the latest Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Class 1A poll released Wednesday.
The Eagles are joined in the top 10 by District 7-1A opponents Vermilion Catholic at No. 5 and Hanson Memorial at No. 7. Another district foe, Ascension Episcopal, is receiving votes.
In Class 3A, Berwick’s and Patterson’s District 8-3A opponents, E.D. White and Erath, are ranked in the top 5. E.D. White is No. 3 and Erath is No. 5. Brusly is Class 3A’s top-ranked squad.
In Class 4A, Morgan City’s District 7-4A opponent, South Terrebonne, is ranked No. 10. Teurlings Catholic is Class 4A’s top-ranked squad.
