DHS tops Lady Hornets

DONALDSONVILLE _ Donaldsonville’s Lady Tigers benefited from an 11-8 first quarter run before securing a 56-32 win over the Franklin Lady Hornets here Friday in District 9-3A action at the DHS Gym.
Donaldsonville managed to take a 27-11 lead at the half on the way to a 46-19 cushion after three quarters. The Lady Tigers pulled out the victory by the final score of 56-32.
K. Foster led Donaldsonville in scoring with 15 points while J. Collier, M. Chatman and B. Harvey all tallied 10 points each.
Wynesha Jenkins led the Lady Hornets in scoring with 10 points on five deuces while Traviaiashala Boatman fired in nine points with Chardonnae Parker tossing in six points while Jazman Henry scored four points and Quanta Jones bagged three points.
Franklin will return to action on Tuesday at Patterson in District 9-3A action.
