Erath Lady Bobcats stop Lady Hornets

Alexis Lege scored 18 points, lifting the Erath Lady Bobcats to a 57-33 District 8-3A victory over the Franklin Lady Hornets Tuesday at the FSHS Gym.
Leading scorers for the Lady Hornets were: Quanta Jones, 16 points on four two-point field goals, two 3’s and 2 of 2 free throws; Kaira Butler, 6, 3 field goals; Samantha Frederick, 4 points, 2 field goals; Chardonnae Parker, 3 points, 3-pointer; Aaliyah Smith, 2 points and Jazmine Byers, 2 points.
Erath’s leading scorers were: Alexis Lege, 18 points (7 deuces, 1 trey and 1 of 2 free throws; Gabby Harrington, 10 points on four field goals and 2 of 2 freebies; Monette Bolden, 9; Logan Goutierrez, 6; Olivia Blanchard, 5; Reanne Walsh, 4; Ann Marie Frederick; 3 and Chloe Landry, 2.
The Lady Hornets will be at North Vermilion on Friday. Tip-Off is set for 5:30 with Girls JV, followed by Girls Varsity and then Boys Varsity.
