Lady Eagles softball team wins

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles remained perfect in District 7-1A action with a 7-0 win against Vermilion Catholic Monday.
The Lady Eagles scored all of their runs in the first two innings with a run in the first and six more in the second.
Megan Landry earned the win for the Lady Eagles. In seven innings, she surrendered three hits and fanned 17.
Offensively, Kimberly Russo led the squad with a 2-for-3 performance with a triple and a run, while Landry was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI; Paige Thomas, 2-for-3, an RBI; and Bridgette Swan, 1-for-2, three RBIs and a run.
Central Catholic (18-3) overall, 7-0 in district will return to action today when it hosts Gueydan in a 5 p.m. contest.
Patterson falls to
St. Martinville
The Patterson Lumberjills fell to St. Martinville 11-6 Monday in nondistrict action.
Taylor Hall suffered the loss for the squad.
Offensively, Carli McIntyre, Rachel Easley, Gaylen Grogan and Ashley Bonilla all had hits.
Patterson (10-5) will return to District 9-3A play today when it plays Donaldsonville in a doubleheader. The first game will begin at 4 p.m., while the second will begin at 5:30 p.m.
