Lemoine wins bowling scholarship

Berwick High graduate Mark Lemoine was the winner of the Morgan City U.S. Bowling Congress Bowling Association’s 2016 scholarship.
Lemoine, who plans to attend LSU in the fall and major in business, was active in the bowling scene on the youth level and in high school. He bowled for seven years in the youth league with a highest average of 199, a high game of 279 and a high series of 741.
He also participated in the Pepsi Tournament, the Capital City Shootout, Scratch Match Games Tournament and the Grand Prix Tournament.
Additionally, he was part of a first-place team at the Baton Rouge Youth State Tournament in 2014.
Lemoine also was part of the Berwick High School bowling team for two years. He was a first-team all-district pick for two seasons and a two-time District MVP. He had an average of 201, a high game of 261 and a high series of 689.
The Berwick High alum finished his high school career with a 3.8 grade-point average and graduated in the top 15 percent of his class.
He is the son of Ellen Lemoine and the late Glenn Lemoine.
