MCHS boys bowling team wins twice this week

The Morgan City High School boys’ bowling team won two games this week, defeating Central Catholic Wednesday at E.D. White Monday, both at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Wednesday, Morgan City won 26-1.
Zach Aucoin led Morgan City with a 599 series (196, 216, 187). Other top Morgan City bowlers included Jonathan Spinella (165, 192), Trevor Tong (181), Zachary Stewart (178), Hau Vo (169) and Antoine Bui (166).
Monday, Morgan City won 27-0.
Vo led Morgan City with a 611 series (211, 210, 190). Other top Morgan City bowlers included Jayson Hidalgo with 601 series (235, 192, 174), Aucoin with a 597 series (219, 193, 185); Spinella (222); Stewart (201); Jason Myers (160, 174); and Tong (171).
Berwick boys fall
The Berwick boys’ bowling team fell to Houma Christian, 23-4, Wednesday at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Abram Gilder led Berwick with a 584 series (231, 200). Other top Berwick bowlers included Ian Valdez (179, 180) and Kyle Valdez (176, 172).
CCHS falls twice
The Central Catholic co-ed bowling team fell twice this week, dropping matches to Morgan City Wednesday at Houma Christian Monday.
Wednesday, Central Catholic fell, 26-1, to Morgan City at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Emily Price bowled a 173, while Dave Laubach had games of 169 and 170.
Monday, Central Catholic fell, 24-3, to Houma Christian at Creole Lanes in Houma.
Price led Central Catholic with a 511 series (171, 162, 178). Other top bowlers included Liam McCloy with a 191 game and Laubach with a 188 game.
MCHS wins 2 games
The Morgan City High School girls’ bowling teams won twice this week at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City, defeating E.D. White Monday via a forfeit and Houma Christian Wednesday.
Wednesday, Morgan City won 22.5-4.5.
Hannah Pipes led Morgan City with a 591 series (184, 168, 239), while Meghan Amador added a 578 series (214, 216). Other top games by Morgan City bowlers included Ali Tregle (180), Mackenzie Amador (163) and Marissa Davis (150).
