Morales, Hebert lead area All-District 8-III selections

Berwick and Morgan City each have a representative on the All-District 8-III volleyball first team.
Berwick High School senior middle hitter/setter Ashton Morales and Morgan City High School sophomore middle hitter Kennedy Hebert lead the local selections.
Each team also has a second-team selection, Berwick junior middle hitter Sydney Aucoin and Morgan City senior middle hitter Alex Thompson.
Honorable mention choices for Berwick include junior setter Mary Jordan Melancon and senior right outside hitter Madeleine Hover.
Morgan City’s honorable mention selections are senior left outside hitters, Cecily Feliciano and Dwanna LeBeau.
District champion E.D. White took the individual awards as junior left outside hitter Lindsie Sanders is Offensive Most Valuable Player, while senior libero Whitney Sternfels is the Defensive Most Valuable Player.
E.D. White’s Sarah Johnson is the District’s Coach of the Year.
