Centerville Bulldogs win eighth straight
HOLDEN _ The Centerville Bulldogs won their 8th straight game to stay unbeaten in District 8-B at 4-0 and 13-4 overall with the 72-32 road win over Holden. The Bulldogs will travel to Maurepas on Thursday. Holden will be at Maurepas on Friday.
Centerville enjoyed a 22-5 first quarter lead of which they would never relinquish.
Jumanji Washington poured in a game-high 26 points to propel Centerville. Washington bagged 13 deuces on the night.
Rodney Harris also finished in double digits with 20 points on 10 floor shots.
Rounding out the scoring for CHS were: Juwan Thomas, 9; Zacchaeus Jackson, 5; Cole Candella, 4; Marvin Strawder, 2; Dontre Austin, 2; Christian Arias, 2 and Courtland Pogue, 2.

Holden tops Lady Bulldogs
HOLDEN _ Centerville girls fall at Holden 57-27 to drop to 0-4 in 8-B and 6-11 overall.
Holden is now 4-0 in 8-B. The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Maurepas on Thursday.
Kayla Robinson led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with eight points.
Rounding out the scoring for CHS were: Nykeytra Kennedy, 6; Roshayla Gunner, 3; Rylie Candella, 3; Jasmine Gunner, 3; Alyrria Austin, 2 and Olivia Thibodeaux, 2.
Sydney Hayden and Montori Weber paced Holden with 16 and 10 points respectively.

Lady Cardinals down Lady Hornets
THIBODAUX _The E. D. White Lady Cardinals toppled the Franklin Lady Hornets, 44-20, in District 9-3A action here Tuesday at the ED White Gym.
Franklin leading scorers were Wynesha Jenkins, 8; Fabian Small, 6 and Traviaishala Boatman, 4.
Franklin will return to action at Westgate on Friday.

HMS Tigers roll over Gueydan
The Hanson Memorial Tigers rolled past the Gueydan Bears 52-33 in District 8-A action Tuesday at the Billy Gene Talbot Gymnasium.
Hanson raced outfront by a 20-0 score in the first quarter en route to a 30-5 halftime cushion. Hanson proved too much for Gueydan down the stretch, securing the 52-30 league win.
Jacob Stewart led the Tigers in scoring with 10 points while Bo Barrilleaux and Brennan Young tossed in eight points apiece. Clint Young Jr, Royce Norton and Kameron Clements all tossed in seven points each with Britt Young scoring three points and Micah Baker finishing with two points.
