James “Jim” A. Boudreaux Sr.

March 25, 1945 — August 20, 2013

James “Jim” A. Boudreaux Sr., 68, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Stephensville, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at West Jefferson Hospital.

Jim was known as a very kind-hearted person who loved to joke and spend time in his swing on the front porch. He and his wife, Barbara, are the proprietors of the “Lil Country Store” in Stephensville. His dedication to working hard was only outweighed by his love and devotion to his family. Jim was a loving husband, father and best “paw-paw” to all of his family; they were his life. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his precious wife, Barbara Walker Boudreaux of Stephensville; one son, James A. Boudreaux Jr. and wife, Sheree, of Westwego; one daughter, Buffy Boudreaux Hotard and husband, Jake, of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Jimmy, Joshua, B.J., Destiny, Jhena, Brock and Brooke; one great-grandson, Ayden Young; one sister, Joyce Chaisson of Morgan City; and one son-in-law, Bryan Theriot of Gretna.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Alberta Comeaux Boudreaux; one loving daughter, Bridget Boudreaux; and two brothers, E.J. Boudreaux and Gerald Boudreaux.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home and resumes on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the funeral home starting at 8 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Jim will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
