Berwick’s Kennedy Sampey competes in the pole vault during Saturday’s Class 3A state track and field meet at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium. Sampey set a school record with a leap of 11 feet. Berwick High School’s Kennedy Sampey capped her high school pole vaulting career with a state runner-up finish at the Class 3A State Track and Field meet Saturday.
