Caitlyn Elise Bourgeois and Coby Shawn Minton exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Feb. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. The Rev. Greg Fratt celebrated the evening nuptial Mass.

For the ceremony, luminaries and topiaries lined church steps. Topiaries trimmed with crystals and pearls, alternated with Mason-jar lanterns, decorated with lace and crystals and hung by pearl strands, graced the center aisle. The main altar held arrangements of jade green Polar and pink Maaike roses, pink and white snapdragons, and cream and white Majolika spray roses and hydrangeas.
Music was by vocalists Natalie Bourgeois and Jodi Bollich, trumpeter Will Green, a string trio and organist.
Bible readings were by Gerard Bourgeois, uncle of the bride and Maxine Minton, aunt of the groom. Bollich sang the responsorial psalm. Offertory gifts were presented by Therese Bourgeois Smith, aunt of the bride and Brian Noto, cousin of the groom. Greeters were Alaina Smith and Natalie Bourgeois, cousins of the bride.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a vintage design of ivory Queen Anne Venice lace and organza in a mermaid style featuring a Queen Anne neckline and chapel-length train. She wore an original pearl and rhinestone triple-strand necklace of classic style, featuring a floral motif with aurora borealis beading, a gift from her parents.
Her chapel-length veil was edged with Alencon lace.
The traditional six-pence in her shoe was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Steve Rowe of England.
Her bouquet, accented with several vintage rhinestone broaches, included cream-colored Polar and Majolika roses and hydrangeas, and pale pink Maaike and Jade green roses.
Robin Ferguson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leah Simon, cousin of the bride; Ruth H. Bourgeois, aunt of the bride and Anne Marie Henry, stepsister of the groom. Madeline Bourgeois, cousin of the bride, served as the junior bridesmaid.
They were attired in ice-blue gowns and carried bouquets of burlap-wrapped roses accented with rhinestones.

Decorations included lanterns, topiaries, candles and a chandelier of crystals, lace and pearls over the portico. A vignette inside held a dressing table featuring a mid-1930’s satin and lace wedding gown belonging to the bride’s great-grandmother, the late Ann Dantone Biundo.
Wedding pictures of the couple’s parents, grandparents and great-grandparents were placed in reception rooms. Tables held various centerpieces of mirrors with lanterns, flowers and rhinestones, and candles with lace and pearls.
A crystal curtain backdrop and a floral chandelier highlighted the brides table. The cake was centered on an antique buffet table flanked with crystal candelabra.
The wedding cake was a five-tiered confection in ivory and ice blue trimmed with edible lace, beads, pearls and roses. The cake held a variety of flavored fillings.
The groom’s table was decorated in red and black to accent his Patterson High School football jersey. Other decorations included a football and a childhood picture of him as a football center.
His cake depicted a football field complete with fans in the stadium.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at NicoBella in Morgan City. Guests were treated to a Power-Point presentation of the couple prepared by Alaina Smith. Tables were decorated with vintage flower arrangements.
