Patterson Garden Club discusses upcoming events

Patterson Garden Club held its meeting on Oct. 18 at the home of Iris Roy.
Agenda items discussed were upcoming club events including the distribution of treat bags to participants of St. Mary Center of Hope in Centerville, weeding and spraying trees at Hattie Watts Elementary, and participation in the District meeting luncheon to be held in Thibodaux.
Patterson Garden Club will hold its Blue Star Marker Program on Nov. 4 at Patterson Junior High School. On Nov. 30, club members will decorate the Patterson Healthcare Center for Christmas.
Eva Brown Tregle was one of the winners in a recent club fundraiser. She donated her winnings back to the club in memory of her parents, Hugh and Nell Brown. The club will use the funds to landscape the Blue Star Memorial By-way Marker at Patterson City Hall.
Winner of the meeting’s half-and-half drawing was Evelyn Estay. Meeting hostesses were Estay and Lisa Wilson.
