Arrests reports

A 50-year-old Patterson woman, accused of stealing $2,000 and hydrocodone pills from a 56-year-old man, was jailed this morning on a December 2013 warrant, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Tammy Sheriden, 50, of the 400 block of Darlene Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. today on warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal mischief, for theft of assets of an aged or disabled person, and for theft.
The warrant for theft of assets of an aged or disabled person is the result of an investigation that began in December 2013 after the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of about $2,000 in cash and several hydrocodone pills from a 56-year-old victim in Patterson, the sheriff said.
A deputy received information that Sheriden was being held on the warrants at the Berwick police department. Sheriden was jailed with no bail set.
Hebert reported responding to 41 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Jarvis Mack, 28, of the 500 block of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:49 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, obstruction of justice and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
Narcotics detectives patrolling the Morgan City area observed two people walking down Railroad Avenue. One of the subjects, later identified as Mack, saw detectives, immediately turned around, and began walking in the other direction.
Detectives observed Mack quickly walk to the side of a nearby residence and place a bag of marijuana underneath the home. Mack then quickly walked away from the residence. Detectives made contact with Mack and recovered the bag of marijuana. The residence that this took place at is next door to a church. Mack was jailed.
—Sonya Rebardi, 44, of the 400 block of Hunting Road in Ricohoc, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of Schedule III Lortab. On Tuesday, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment on General Hodges Street in Morgan City. During the search, detectives located Lortab pills belonging to Rebardi. Rebardi was not at the location at the time of the search. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Rebardi and located her at her residence. Rebardi was jailed with no bail set.
—Terry Ratliff, 42, of the 800 block of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. Wednesday for possession of Schedule IV Tramadol with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, possession of Legend Drug Viagra without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Christopher Haynes, 32, of the 100 block of Marin Street in Patterson, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. Wednesday for possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, possession of Legend Drug Viagra without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Narcotics detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an improperly displayed license plate on Shady Grove Lane in Patterson. Detectives made contact with the driver, Haynes, and the front seat passenger, Ratliff. While speaking with Ratliff, detectives observed packs of synthetic cannabinoids in her hand, Hebert said.
Furthering the investigation, detectives located additional packs of synthetic cannabinoids along with Tramadol and Viagra pills, Hebert said. Haynes and Ratliff were jailed with no bail set. The vehicle was seized pending forfeiture. Detectives believe the vehicle was used to sell the illegal drugs, Hebert said.
—Chris Toups, 34, of the 2800 block of First Street in Berwick, was arrested at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday for careless operation of a motor vehicle and failure to report an accident. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on River Road in Berwick. The deputy located an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch. Working with Berwick police, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Toups, the sheriff said.
The deputy determined that Toups lost control of the vehicle, drove off of the roadway, and into the ditch. Toups then left the scene of the crash and failed to report the incident despite having the opportunity to do so, Hebert said. Toups was jailed with no bail set.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Michael M. Gonzales, 26, of Ditch Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:03 a.m. today on warrants for careless operation and for felony criminal damage to property. Gonzales was located at a Ditch Avenue residence. He remains jailed.
—Leonard A. Yarborough, 52, of Arenz Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City warrant for failure to appear for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Yarborough was located at an Arenz Street address and was jailed.
—Jerry A. Boyer, 70, of Michigan Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday for appearing in public intoxicated.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Fifth Street and Brashear Avenue in regard to an intoxicated person who was almost struck by a passing vehicle. Officers located Boyer who was found to be in an impaired condition. He was jailed.
—Sharon Jones, 42, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace.
—Kathy E. Schaub, 33, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace.
—Tieyon K. Martinez, 28, of 11th Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace
Officers encountered a large disturbance at a La. 182 motel and proceeded to locate several people involved in a verbal altercation in the parking lot. Schaub, Martinez, and Jones were instructed by officers to refrain from causing the disturbance by yelling profanities and threats, Banks said. The disturbance was seen by others, including children, in the area. When the suspects refused to comply, they were jailed, the chief said.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
