Berwick council to consider rules on peddlers

The Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall to consider introduction of rules governing peddlers.
The council is set to consider strengthening codes regarding solicitations, peddlers and itinerate vendors, while also increasing the cost of the permit for them to sell their wares within the town limits.
Also on the agenda, among other items, are adoption of the budget ordinances, a resolution regarding the St. Mary Parish Hazard Mitigation Plan, parade permits, and planning and zoning recommendations.
Public hearings on the budget ordinances are scheduled at 7:15 p.m.
Both meetings are open to the public.
