Candidate forums set

Candidates agreed to participate in public forums at the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts in August and September.
The forums and candidates who have signed up so far are:
Aug. 27—Governor: Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne and Jeremy Odom
Aug. 20—Lt. Governor: State Senator Elbert Guillory, Billy Nungesser, Mayor-President “Kip Holden and John Young
Sept. 3—St. Mary Parish Sheriff: Blaise Smith and Doug Perry; St. Mary Parish President: David Hanagriff and Gary Duhon; St. Mary Parish Council: No candidates
Sept. 10—16th Judicial District Judge: Nick LaRocca and Lewis Pitman; Attorney General: Marty Maley
All candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, St. Mary Parish Sheriff, St. Mary Parish President, St. Mary Parish Council, 16th Judicial District Judge and Louisiana Attorney General are encouraged to contact Arlana Shields in Community Development by e-mail (ashields@franklin-la.com) or by phone (337-828-6345) by July 31, 2015, in order to be included in the forums.
