Chamber sets summer events

This summer is jam packed with St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce activities.
Business luncheons, Business after Hours and the annual Education and Appreciation Banquet are set.
The chamber will soon announce the first “Rise and Shine with the Chamber” beginning in August, a new program as a way to get members involved and play an active role in moving the parish forward. Anyone interested in being a host for “Rise and Shine” may call the chamber office.
On June 11, Sen. Bret Allain and Reps. Sam Jones and Joe Harrison will present an update on the recent state legislative session. This year’s event will be held at the Forest Restaurant in Franklin. The cost to attend is $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required.
Following on June 19 the Chamber will host its annual Education Appreciation Banquet in conjunction with 16th Judicial District Attorney Phil Haney’s office. The supper, ceremony and auction will take place at the Patterson Civic Center. The meal will be catered by Café Jo Jo’s. Tickets are available by calling either of the Chamber offices.
Events can be posted on the “Chamber Blast” email that goes out each week on Wednesday and in the monthly newsletter.
Also, the “Chamber Chat” radio show on KBZE airs every other Saturday and provides another avenue for Chamber members to promote their businesses in St. Mary Parish.
