FFH laboratory accredited
The Laboratory Department at Franklin Foundation Hospital received accreditation from the Joint Commission.
This high level of achievement recognizes that FFH Laboratory Services provides safe, high quality treatment and care.
The FFH Laboratory handles on an average 6,786 tests monthly. FFH Lab is located in the hospital and is staffed with 10 employees offering service 24 hours a day. Their expertise supports all areas of the hospital: emergency room, surgery, obstetrics, intensive care unit, medical/surgical floor, swing bed program and daily outpatient services.
“Our staff works hard making sure we comply with the performance standards that Joint Commission and all the governing bodies require,” said Lab Manager Mandy Berthelet. “We offer excellent customer service and make our patients first priority.”
Joint Commission evaluates and accredits more than 20,500 health care organizations and program in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body. To earn and maintain the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, an organization undergoes an on-site survey routinely. Laboratories are surveyed every two years.
