FFH wellness program starts

Kick off for the “FIT 15” Franklin Foundation Hospital Employee Wellness Program was held on Jan. 12.
Numerous FFH employees attended registration and initial assessment sessions to begin their transformation. The program focuses on diet, exercise and education; these components combine total health, body, mind and spirit, are designed to facilitate positive lifestyle changes.
“FIT 15” is offered in conjunction with Anytime Fitness and employees have the opportunity to utilize the local gym as part of the program.
“It is very positive that our employees are interested in making healthier choices that will impact their personal and professional lives,” said Dawn Kaiser, Business Development and Marketing coordinator. “We have an all-inclusive program with some fun opportunities planned as well as hard work and determination. It is easier for all the participants to achieve their personal goals with the support of friends and family.”
“We want to set the example for the community and encourage others to get healthier,” said CEO Craig Cudworth. “This program has all the components for our participants to facilitate positive lifestyle changes.”
Employee wellness programs are designed to encourage staff members to be healthier and more active during their daily routines. A healthier employee is more productive and efficient. Programs such as this help; increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, enhance employee morale, retain employees and reduce health care concerns.
