Flood warning for the Atchafalaya

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Atchafalaya River at Morgan City, which is predicted to crest at 6.5 feet July 20. A possible diversion of Mississippi River water could push the crest to 7 feet. Flood stage is 6 feet.
