Food for Families drive set

Church of Assumption in Franklin will host a drop off point for the annual Food For Families Food Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 8, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Patti Ibert, director of United Way for Louisiana St. Mary Emergency Aid Center, will be onsite along with members of the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus and other volunteers.
The center is in need of non-perishable food items: canned beans, meats, vegetables, etc., and cleaning items, dish washing and laundry detergents, bath soap, toilet paper, etc. They are also accepting baby items, formula, food, diapers and lotions. Please make sure that items are not out of date before bringing them to the Parish Center Dec. 8.
Other locations include:
—St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
—Baldwin Fire Department from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
