Head Start students return to the centers

The first full day of school began at St. Mary CAA Head Start this week.
Numbers, alphabets, shapes and building blocks were used as teaching tools throughout the morning. St. Mary Community Action Agency CEO/Head Start Administrator, Almetra Franklin visited some of the Head Start centers to greet and welcome everyone back on the first day.
“We foresee greater things for Head Start this year, and we are excited to be the academic provider for so many wonderful new and returning families,” Franklin said. “Whether it is in the classroom with the children, services provided, or otherwise; we are more than happy to provide the best service possible to the families we serve.”
Franklin added that services are specifically designed to build family relationships, enhance children’s physical and emotional well-being. “It is our desire to continually provide a trusted and established learning environment to develop skills that your child will always be able to use and build off of,” Franklin said. “We’re going to have a great year at St. Mary CAA/ Head Start.”
