HMS sets ‘Tail-Gator, Battle of the Paddles

Hanson Memorial High School’s fourth annual Tail-Gator Fest, featuring The Battle of the Paddles, will be held Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. along Parc sur la Teche on Teche Drive in Franklin.
The event will include an outdoor cooking contest featuring both gumbo and jambalaya, as well as classic carnival games, arts and crafts, a silent auction, a one-mile fun run, a horseshoe tournament and music.
The mission of the event is to share southern hospitality and Louisiana fare while raising money for Hanson Memorial High School academics.
