Kayak donation

Two Spirit kayaks were donated to the Chitimacha Recreation Department from the KETA Group, of one which is pictured above. Both kayaks were used in the last Tour du Teche paddle race in October. KETA Group is a tribally-owned, Louisiana limited liability company that was founded in 2003. KETA’s primary purpose is to diversify and bolster the economy of the Chitimacha Tribe and provide opportunities and benefits to its members, approximately 1,000 people, by capitalizing on opportunities in the federal contracting market.
