Making Christmas sweeter

Volunteers assembled and distributed fruit baskets for the elderly members of St. Mary AARP at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center in Morgan City on Thursday. There were 330 baskets assembled by more than 50 volunteers. Among the volunteers were Helen Ross and Pat Fryer, St. Mary AARP board members; Alicia Robicheaux, AARP board member and fruit basket coordinator; Bill Darce, AARP president; Jarrod Longman, St. Mary Parish assessor; Floyd Hymel, AARP vice president; and Bobby Bertaut, AARP board member.
