New East St. Mary Junior Auxiliary class

The Junior Auxiliary of East St. Mary welcomed and trained its incoming Provisional Class on Nov. 1.
This group of ladies has shown interest in Junior Auxiliary and volunteering their time to assist children and families in the community.
Junior Auxiliary is a national nonprofit organization that encourages members to render charitable services which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on children.
Junior Auxiliary of East St. Mary was chartered by a group of caring, enthusiastic women in 1993 and continues to grow and thrive throughout the East St. Mary Parish Area.
Volunteers work throughout the year on a variety of projects, including Santa’s Workshop and Easter Eggstravaganza that focus on local children and families in need of assistance. Members also volunteer time at Claire House, Adullum House and manage the Chapter’s Scholarship Program.
Junior Auxiliary of East St. Mary is a part of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, a non profit organization founded in 1941 with headquarters in Greenville. NAJA has more than 15,500 active, associate, and life members in 98 chapters in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.
The NAJA slogan is “Care Today – Character Tomorrow” and when teamed with the current focus of the Association, Junior Auxiliary Chapters are working to increase awareness of child health and welfare and how it affects their futures.
