Parish fair this weekend

This year’s St. Mary Parish Junior Fair and Livestock Show is Thursday through Sunday at Franklin Senior High School.
The show is a parish-wide event for all 4-H and Future Farmers of America students exhibiting livestock and homemaking arts and crafts.
Livestock showing begins at 11 a.m. with goat, lamb, cattle and swine. Rabbit show begins at 5 p.m. and poultry will be judged at 11 a.m. Friday.
Educational exhibits are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, with homemaking exhibits viewed from 12-6 p.m. Concessions sold include smoke turkey and sausage gumbo.
The buyer appreciation and awards luncheon begins at 11 a.m. and sale of market animals begins at 1 p.m.
