Port to host ‘Skywarn’ class

The Port of Morgan City, St. Mary Parish Office of Homeland Security, and the National Weather Service-Lake Charles will hold a “Skywarn” class from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Port of Morgan City. The public is invited.
Topics to be discussed are severe weather safety tips, local severe storm history, cloud formations vs. type of severe weather and how to report severe weather to the National Weather Service.
