Qualifying dates set for political committees

Qualifying for Democratic and Republican State Central and Parish committee members opens Wednesday.
The primary election will be March 5 and the general election is April 9 next year.
Clerk of Courts in St. Mary Parish will accept qualifiers Dec. 2-4 on the second floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is open during the noon hour.
Fees for Democrats are $112.50 for both state and parish; for Republicans, the fee is $112.50 for state and $93.75 for parish.
All fees must be paid in cash, certified check, cashier’s check or money order. No personal checks accepted.
