Regional showdown winner

Ashley Pierce of Franklin, daughter of Chris and Laura Pierce, won at the Southwest Regional Country Music Showdown competition held in Rockport, Texas on Sunday. She competed against contestants from Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado and Oklahoma. This was the second preliminary round of three leading up to the finals to be held in in Nashville, Tenn. Ashley won first place at the South District Regional Country Music Showdown competition in April at the Cypress Sawmill Festival in Patterson. She will be traveling this weekend to Raton, New Mexico to compete in the final preliminary round of competition as she vies for first place at the West Regional’s Country Music Showdown. She is the reigning Franklin Harvest Moon Festival Queen.
