Senior activities

St Mary Council on Aging sponsored a prize bingo on Aug. 3 at the American Legion Post 242 in Patterson. Players won a variety of prizes that were donated by businesses across St. Mary Parish, with proceeds benefiting senior activities. Last Saturday, Council on Aging, American Legion Post 242 and the Golden Age Club co-sponsored a Luau Dance in Patterson with music provided by DJ Calvin Gros. Pictured are Kathy Miller, Ron Romero, John Benge, Ruby Haydel, Micki Bodin and Pat Blanco. Bodin was the winner of the limbo dance. The Franklin, Patterson and Morgan City Senior Activity Centers are open daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All seniors 60 and older are invited for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
