Vehicle burglaries on the rise

Over the past month, the Franklin Police Department has responded to an increased amount of car burglaries.
Chief Sabria McGuire said the burglaries are not in any certain area of Franklin, but in various areas: O’Neal Chube, West Adams Street, Malcolm Street, Clark Street, B Street, Railroad Avenue, Cayce Street, Willow Street and Florida Street.
“We advise everyone to keep their vehicles locked with no valuables in view,” McGuire said. “If valuables are left in view, windows will be broken, as seen in past burglaries.”
