BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Robert and Gwen Arceneaux endured a sleepless night Sunday after noticing floodwater creeping into their home — in a neighborhood that had never seen water before.

All St. Mary Parish schools will reopen on Monday, August 15, 2016. Buses will run on their normal schedules.
The Tri-City area escaped the weekend storms without street or home flooding, and area residents are pitching in to help get supplies to people in the Baton Rouge and Lafayette areas who were hit h
St. Martin Parish public schools will be closed Monday, Superintendent Lottie Beebe said in an email.
Heavy rain is in the forecast for the Tri-City area today.
